When I suggest that a new author or speaker write a brief bio for their website, the suggestion is met with squirmy discomfort. I forget how hard it can be to write a bio without sounding like a lapsed member of Egotists Anonymous! So let’s make this as short and painless as possible.
I’m Janice Campbell, and I’ve been writing, speaking, and consulting on non-traditional education, entrepreneurship, and writing for many years. I’ve learned how to earn a full-time living with words, and I’ve learned to do it in a way that allows me to care for the people and things that matter most in my life.
In recent years, I’ve spent a lot of time answering questions like “How did you do it?” “Where do I start?” “How do I get a blog going?” “How can I get published?” “What’s a platform?” “How can I self-publish?” “Do I really have to market?” “How do you make an e-book?” and many more. This blog (and the speaking and consulting I do) is an answer to that question.
