Hi Janice,
LOL LOVE this video! SO true!
As someone who was homeschooled, I get this question ALL the time. It’s such a broken record… This video really captures the essence of the responses I so often get when people learned I was homeschooled.
Actually, I was in public school K-6, in a private school in 7th grade and homeschooled 8-12. I’m a HUGE proponent of homeschooling. My homeschooling years were my BEST years and I was ahead of my peers academically during those years (and well prepared for college).
And in case you’re wondering, I didn’t suffer socially. We socialized with other families with kids our own age. Even better, since my parents are self-employed and ran their business out of the home, we were exposed to the business world and Dad’s employees and business associates. Our interaction with these adults certainly elevated our social skills, our conversational skills and our vocabulary. Not to mention the valuable business and life lessons that came with exposure to the business world.
Thanks for posting this! SO true!
I have home educated for many years and it really is a broken record. Me and my daughter laughed and laughed . Partly because my daughter is very introverted and they always blame home education. I always retort with that is fine if you can explain my extroverted son ! That usually shuts down that conversation. They are who they are.
